Jose M. de la Rosa (Fellow, IEEE) received the M.S. degree in physics and the Ph.D. degree in microelectronics from the University of Seville, Spain, in 1993 and 2000, respectively. Since 1993, he has been working at the Institute of Microelectronics of Seville (IMSE), which is in turn part of the Spanish Microelectronics Center (CNM), Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). He is currently the Vice Director of IMSE. He is also a Full Professor with the Department of Electronics and Electromagnetism, University of Seville. His main research interests are in the field of analog and mixed- signal integrated circuits, especially high-performance sigma-delta data converters. In these topics, he has participated in a number of National and European research and industrial projects, and he has coauthored more than 250 international peer-reviewed publications, including journal and conference articles, and 6 books, the latter being Sigma-Delta Converters: Practical Design Guide (Wiley-IEEE Press, 2nd edition, 2018).

Dr. de la Rosa has been a member of the Executive Committee of the IEEE Spain Section from 2014 to 2015 and from 2016 to 2017, where he served as a Membership Development Officer from 2016 to 2017. He also served as the Chair of the Spain Chapter of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society from 2016 to 2017. He has been involved in the organizing committees of diverse IEEE conferences, including ISCAS, MWSCAS, ICECS, LAS- CAS, VLSI-SoC, and DATE, serving as a TPC Co-Chair of MWSCAS12, ICECS12, LASCAS15, and ISICAS18-19. He served as Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems—II: Express Briefs (TCAS-II) (term 2020-2021) and as the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of IEEE TCAS-II (2015-2019). He served as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems–I: Regular Papers (TCAS-I), where he received the 2012–2013 Best Associate Editor Award and served as a Guest Editor for the Special Issue on the Custom Integrated Circuits Conference (CICC) in 2013 and 2014. He served also as a Guest Editor of the Special Issue of the IEEE Journal on Emerging and Selected Topics in Circuits and Systems (JETCAS) on Next-Generation Delta-Sigma Converters. He served as Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society from 2017 to 2018 and was elevated to the grade of IEEE Fellow in January 2020.
