Rana Walied Ahmad was born in Düsseldorf, Germany. He received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in physics from Heinrich-Heine-University, Düsseldorf, Germany, in 2018 and 2020, respectively. Currently he is pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Forschungszentrum Jülich, Jülich, Germany, with a focus on simulation, physical modeling of resistive switching random-access memory devices and circuits. A part of his research interests include simulation and physical modeling of diffusive memristors and crossbar array structures based on volatile ReRAM or threshold switching devices.
