Hua Chen was born in Xishui, Hubei Province, China in 1984. He received the B.E. degree in microelectronics from Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Chongqing, in 2007, and the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in microelectronics and solid-state electronics from Institute of Microelectronics of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Beijing, in 2014, and 2017, respectively.

From 2007 to 2010, he was an analog/RF IC Design Engineer with the 24th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Company (CETC), Chongqing. Since 2017, he has been an assistant professor with the Smart Sensing Center, Institute of Microelectronics of CAS. By 2021, he is an associate professor. He is the author of 26 research articles and 13 Chinese inventions. His current research interests are interface circuit design for MEMS devices, such as RF MEMS resonator, MEMS gyro. Specifically, I am working on implement high-gain high-bandwidth transimpedance amplifiers, HV amplifiers, high-resolution C-V converters, high precision dc-dc converters. My previous work includes PLL design for wireless communications.

Dr. Chen was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and was a recipient of the Excellent Researcher Award of the Institute of Microelectronics of CAS, in 2020.
