Padmanabhan Balasubramanian is a Senior Research Fellow in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from University of Madras, India; Master’s degree in VLSI System from National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, India; and PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Manchester, UK. He has published over 100 research papers in international journals and conferences which includes 3 invited journals and 2 invited conference publications. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Life Member of Indian Society for Technical Education. He serves as a reviewer for several international journals and conferences, and also on the technical program and steering committees of many international conferences. He serves as a Topical Advisory Panel member for Electronics and an Editorial Board Member in International Journal of Reconfigurable and Embedded Systems. Besides, he serves as a Guest Editor for two special issues in Electronics namely “Fault-Tolerant Design and Applications of Electronic Circuits and Systems” and “Advances in Low Power and High Power Electronics”. He was recognized as an Outstanding Reviewer by Microelectronics Reliability in 2016; Computers and Electrical Engineering in 2017 and 2018; and Integration, the VLSI Journal in 2018. His research interests include approximate computing, asynchronous circuits, logic synthesis, digital integrated circuits, and fault-tolerant design.
