Profile

Heon Hwa Cheong received the B.E. degree with summa cum laude in electrical engineering from University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, USA, in 2008, where he also received his M.S. degree in 2009. 

From 2010 to 2012, he was with CrucialTec, Korea, where he was involved in hardware product engineering of smart remotes, set-top boxes, and optical sensor modules. Since 2012, he has been with Samsung Electronics, Hwasung, Korea, responsible for silicon implementation of high-speed and low-power ECC and signal processing digital IPs for memory solution products. His specialty lies in tangible hardware design of complex algorithms.

Since 2018, he has also been with Seoul National University, Korea, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, by the the core talent Ph.D. fellowship program from Samsung Electronics. His current research interests mainly include various mixed-signal circuit designs for interface and signal processing.
