Profile

Marcio Monteiro is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Brazil. He received the bachelor's degree in 2017 and his master's degree in 2020, both in Computer Science at the same university. Since 2013 he conducted research on video coding and computer vision systems and their related hardware architectures in the Embedded Computing Lab. (ECL) at UFSC. He is also a graduate student member of IEEE CAS, IEEE CEDA, and IEEE Young Professionals. His research interests include VLSI architectures for video coding algorithms, computer vision systems, approximate computing, and energy-efficient hardware implementations.
