    Hakim Meskine obtained his PhD in Computational Condensed Matter from the University of Missouri and completed post-docs at the Fritz-Haber Institute in Berlin and the Department of Process and Chemical Engineering at Strathclyde University. He has been an editor at Wiley since 2011, helping to manage peer-review for a variety of physics and materials science journals ranging from physica status solidi to Advanced Materials.

    In 2013, he successfully helped launch Advanced Materials Interfaces and Advanced Science. He took over as editor of Advanced Electronic Materials in 2015 and served as Deputy Editor for Advanced Functional Materials between 2016 and 2020. Hakim is currently Editor-in-chief of Advanced Electronic Materials since 2017. Most recently, Hakim proposed and helped launch Advanced Photonics Research, a member of the new Advanced Research Open Access family of journals that published its first issue in November 2020.
