Alexander Hofmann studied biomedical engineering at the Ilmenau University of Technology, Ilmenau, Germany. In 2012, he received the Master's degree in biomedical engineering. Since then he worked as Analog Integrated Circuit Design Engineer at the IMMS Institut für Mikroelektronik- und Mechatronik-Systeme gemeinnützige GmbH (IMMS GmbH), Ilmenau, Germany, Department of Microelectronics, Erfurt, Germany. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree at the IMMS. His work is focused on the development of microelectronics-based bioanalytical and biomedical sensors and systems.
