    Ali Hassan (S’14) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from the Electronics and Communications Engineering Department, Cairo University, Giza, Egypt, in 2014 and 2018, respectively.

    From July 207 to May 2019, he joined Sensors Lab, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia, as a visiting scholar where he was involved in the design of a low-power high-resolution capacitive-to-digital converter, new circuit realizations using TFTs, a power management circuit for CO2 reduction, and fractional order systems. Prior to that, he worked as a research assistant on multiple projects at the ECE department, Cairo University, Egypt, from Sep. 2014 to June 2017. In addition, he was a teaching assistant where he taught 10+ subjects related to electronics circuit design across three different universities at Egypt (Cairo University, American University in Cairo, and German University in Cairo).

    He has published 20+ papers in international journals and conferences. His research interests include biomedical circuits and systems, analog/mixed-signal design, wireless power transfer, and circuit design with 2D materials.
