    Lei Zhang (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree (Hons.) and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2003 and 2008, respectively.

    From 2006 to 2008, he was a Visiting Scholar under the joint degree program with the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), Los Angeles, CA, USA, where he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow from 2008 to 2010. Since 2010, he has been an Assistant Professor and, since 2012, an Associate Professor with the Institute of Microelectronics, Tsinghua University. He has authored or coauthored more than 100 technical articles and coauthored four technical books. He holds 20 patents. His current research interests include analog and RF/mmW/THz integrated circuits and systems for sixth-generation (6G) wireless communications, terahertz imaging, fully integrated multichannel automotive radar, data converters, CMOS-integrated microarray biochips for biosensing and biodetections, and machine learning algorithms.

    Prof. Zhang is also a member of the Analog Signal Processing Technical Committee (ASPTC) of the IEEE Circuits and System Society (CASS), a Technical Program Committee (TPC) Member of the IEEE Custom Inte-grated Circuit Conference (CICC), and a member of the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle Standardization Committee of China. He was a recipient of four Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Awards of China and two international conference awards. He has directed/participated in over 18 projects, including the National Basic Research Program of China, the National High-Tech Research and Development Program of China, NSFC, and National Key Research and Development Program of China.
