    Abstract

Several variables as electrical conductivity (EC), potential of Hydrogen (pH) and quantity of drainage are measured in order trigger different actions and decisions about fertigation (fertilizer + water) in greenhouse horticulture. Drainage quantity and EC values give information about minerals content in crops, these are considered as inputs and the output is a numerical value given by a Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) with Internet of Things (IoT) capabilites to program the irrigation system. The result is a controller that embeds structural human knowledge about irrigation scheduling into an analytic FLC, in order to provide agricultural scientists with quick access to a particular crop's main production, and allowing for future data driven decisions on the spot that provides effective production tools for horticulture producers in developing countries.
