Mehdi Salehifar (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran, in 2012, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara, CA, USA, in 2014 and 2017, respectively. He is currently with Bytedance Inc. as Multimedia Research Scientist. His research interests include signal processing, general quantization theory, information theory, and video and audio coding. Previously he was with LG Electronics as a Staff Research Engineer, Senior Research Engineer, Video Researcher Intern, and with Qualcomm as an Audio Researcher. He was the recipient of several titles in national and international mathematic competitions.
