Biography
Rubén Acerete Halli is an Industrial Engineer specialized in electrical systems from Zaragoza University in Spain (2009), with a master’s degree in Electronic Engineering specialized in Power Electronics from Zaragoza University. He works at the Research Center for Energy Resources and Consumption – CIRCE (since 2009). Currently his main working areas, as researcher in the electronics systems section, are developing power electronics systems focused on inductive an conductive electric vehicle charging systems, smart grids, renewables energies grid integration, grid support storage systems and power quality improvement systems. More in detail, He collaborates in design the equipment architecture and low level management communications, selecting the power electronic topology, modelling the equipment, sizing its components developing its controls and testing it both laboratory and field. He has high experience in electric vehicle charging protocols (CHAdeMO, Combo, Mode3…), Industrial protocols (Modbus, CanOpen and others over RS‐232, RS‐485, I2C and CAN).
Previously as Electromobility Group Director in the Renewable Energies Integration Area, He carried out the development of inductive and conductive electric vehicle charging systems integrated with smart grids and renewable energies, in collaboration with electric power industry companies. The management and coordination of the electromobility projects and developments.
