Biography
Dr. Chakraborty is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His research interests are primarily in the area of Emerging Computer Architectures - with a focus on automated synthesis of compute kernels using Post-Moore devices. His approach to design automation wields tools from formal methods, as well as artificial intelligence. Prior to joining Rowan University, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Future Technologies Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where he worked on cryogenic memory and extremely heterogeneous computer architectures. He greatly enjoys mentoring both undergraduate and graduate student researchers. Dr. Chakraborty is also interested in domain-specific accelerator design, stochastic computing, quantum information processing and workload characterization for quantum computing systems.
