Sahand received his B.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Tehran, Iran. He started his Ph.D. in 2017 in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of California San Diego and graduated this summer. He was a member of System Energy Efficiency Laboratory (SEELab). He is working on accelerating big-data applications including machine learning, database, and bioinformatic on FPGAs.
