    Hendrik Wöhrle is a professor for intelligent and autonomous sensor and actor systems and the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and arts. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in bioinformatics from the Freie Universität Berlin, Germany, in 2003 and 2006, respectively and a master's degree in electrical engineering and information technology from the Fernuni Hagen in 2015. He worked as a software developer of algorithms and signal processing methods from 2007 to 2009. Since 2009, he is with the Robotics Innovation Center (RIC) of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) in Bremen. In 2017, he received the PhD degree (Dr.-Ing.) in computer science from the University of Bremen. His research interests are (biomedical) signal processing, machine learning, embedded systems, and reconfigurable computing.
