Bio
Xinyun Zou is a 5th-year PhD Candidate with a concentration in Computational Neuroscience in the Department of Computer Science at University of California, Irvine. Graduated from Duke University in 2016, she received her bachelor's degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, with a minor in Economics. In the CARL lab led by Prof. Jeffrey Krichmar at UC Irvine, she has developed a few navigation and foraging strategies for Android-based robotics. She has also put a goal-driven perception model onto a human support robot to direct its action-based attention. Her current research interests are cognitive robotics, neuromodulation, and neuroevolution. More work from her will be published soon.
