Han Wang is a PhD student at the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of California, Daivs advised by Dr.Houman Homayoun. She is a Young Newton Student Fellowship in 2018. Her PhD research is on developing machine learning algorithms for effectively detecting microarchitecture attacks and proposing light-weight defense mechanisms to protect computer system from attacks target hardware vulnerability. During her master degree, she worked on scheduling and tuning of big data applications for datacenters where she applied state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms to predict the optimal settings to boost performance and energy efficiency.
