Profile

Francesca Cavallo is a PhD student at the Centre for Bio-Inspired Technology at Imperial College London. Her work focuses on aptasensors for the detection of hormones involved in metabolic regulation. Moreover, her interest for the application of technology to metabolic health extends to the design of an mHealth system to increase physical activity in diabetic patients. Francesca holds an MEng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College. Her master’s thesis examined the effects of a personalised mHealth intervention on leptin levels.
