Profile

Kristian Fischer received the B.Eng degree in electrical engineering and information technology from University of Applied Sciences in Aschaffenburg and the M.Sc degree in electrical engineering from Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), in 2015 and 2017, respectively. His studies also included a semester abroad at the Minnesota State University Mankato in the USA in 2016. Since 2018, he has been a Research Scientist with the Chair of Multimedia Communications and Signal Processing, FAU. His research interests include image and video compression for machines and convolutional neural networks in particular.
