Profile

Takao Marukame received the B.E. and M.E. degrees in electrical engineering and Dr. Eng. degree in information science and technology from Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan, in 2002, 2004 and 2007, respectively. In 2007, he joined the Advanced LSI Technology Laboratory, Corporate Research and Development Center, Toshiba Corporation, Kawasaki, Japan, where he engaged in the research and development of spintronics, advanced CMOS devices, and emerging memory device applications. In 2014 and 2015, he was a Visiting Scientist of the Microelectronic Systems Laboratory (Prof. Yusuf Leblebici, Dr. Alexandre Schmid), École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. He is currently an Expert of the Frontier Research Laboratory, Corporate Research and Development Center, Toshiba Corporation, Kawasaki, Japan. His current research interests include developing intelligent integrated circuits and their computational applications, emerging research devices, deep learning accelerators, and analog/digital neuromorphic very large-scale integrations.
