Dr. Haibing Lu is associate professor and department co-chair of Information Systems and Analytics at Santa Clara University. He received his Ph.D. in Information Technology from Rutgers University and his B.S. and M.S. degrees both in computational mathematics from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. He has expertise in smart energy, big data analytics, and information privacy & security. He has published a number of well-cited technical papers in leading journals, including IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Transactions on Big Data, ACM Transactions on Management Information Systems, INFORMS Journal on Computing, Manufacturing Service OperationsManagement. His projects have been supported by GEIRI North America, Ultimate Software, AKTANA, Xerox PARC, and Markkula Center. His research has been reported by the United Nations, Forbes, WIRED Magazine, and AACSB.
