    Eugen Pfann received the Dipl. Ing. degree in Informations Engineering from the University of Technology Vienna, Austria in 1994. In 2003 he was awarded a PhD degree from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK for his work on Sigma Delta adaptive LMS filters. In 2002 he joined the University of Strathclyde as research fellow where he served as a lecturer from 2004 until 2007.

    From 2007 until 2009 he was affiliated with Steepest Ascent Ltd., Glasgow, UK as DSP consultant. In 2009 he moved back to Austria where he was working at DMCE (Intel Austria), Linz until 2017 when he joined the Institute for Signal Processing at the JKU, Linz, Austria as a Senior Postdoc Researcher.

    His current research interests are sensor array processing, acoustic beamforming, gesture recognition and real time DSP algorithms for next generation mobile communications devices.
