I am Dr. Dayananda Desagani, who worked as a Post-doctoral researcher at Tel Aviv University, Israel, from April 2018 to December 2019 at Prof. Yosi Shacham’s research group. The main goal of the project at Yosi's group was to develop a biosensor for drought sensing in plants. Before joining Tel Aviv University, I have completed a project on the development of nanocatalysts for water treatment as a Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India (2017). My doctoral research was on “Development of a simple method for preparation of mesoporous alumina based adsorbents and their application in removal of fluoride ion from water.” I have completed my doctoral work at Birla Institute of Technology and Science- Pilani, India (2016) under the guidance of Dr. Narendra Nath Ghosh, Department of Chemistry. I have published my research work in 11 international peer-reviewed journals and also have one book chapter.
