Biography
Irene Muñoz-Martin received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in industrial engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), Madrid, Spain, in 2014 and 2017, respectively, and the M.S. degree in electronics engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy, in 2017, where she is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in information technology. Her current research interests include the integrated mixed-signal design of artificial neural networks (ANN) with resistive switching devices (PCM, RRAM).
She received the "Best student paper award" at VLSI Symposium 2019 (Technology), where she participated at the demo session. She presented an FPGA-based implementation of a hybrid supervised-unsupervised neural network for solving continual learning in standard ANNs.
