Biography
Vishnu is a neuromorphic computing scientist in IME, and formerly an SoC design engineer in Intel Corporation. His expertise is in the design, optimization, integration and verification of high speed computing SoCs (CPUs, fabrics, etc) as well as advanced neuromorphic architectures. He completed his degree in electrical and electronics engineering in 2007 at the University of Technology, Malaysia (UTM). Later on, he completed his masters and PhD on the topics of optimization, machine learning and neural networks for use in SoC-based embedded systems. Vishnu is a free and open source software supporter, and has contributed in various open-source projects, such as the embedded Nios2-Linux kernel and the utmthesis Latex project. His research interests are optimization, machine learning, neural networks, evolutionary algorithms, SMPS design, HW/SW emulation, advanced SoC design, and embedded Linux.
