Profile

My name is Junren Julian Chen. I received my bachelor's degree in Engineering (Microelectronics) at Harbin Institute of Technology, China, in 2017. And obtained my master's degree in Integrated Circuit Engineering at Tsinghua University, China, in 2020. After that, I joined Prof. Giacomo Indiveri's group at Institute of Neuroinformatics, University of Zurich an ETH Zurich, for pursuing my PhD in Neuromorphic Engineering.

I worked on programming methods of Resistive Random Access Memory (ReRAM) devices for in-memory computing systems during my master's years. Now I am interested in designing synapse circuits, learning circuits in neuromorphic chips. Besides, I am trying to combine emerging memory technologies, specifically memristors, with neuromorphic architectures.
