Biography
Md Sakibur Rahman Sajal (S’16 – GS’21) was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He received his B. Sc. (Hons.) degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2017. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), Pittsburgh, PA, USA.
Before starting PhD, he served as a Lecturer at United International University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He also served as an adjunct Lecturer in BUET for some time. He worked as an honorary Research Assistant for Advanced Intelligent Multidisciplinary Systems Lab, Bangladesh.
His research interest lies in the broad domain of sensors and signals focusing primarily on biomedical applications. His previous works include developing systems for multimodal signal acquisition and analysis for Parkinson’s diseases and attention disorder detection. Currently, he is working on single photon imager development in ICBio Lab (CMU), Pittsburgh, PA, USA.
