Biography
Dr Roghaieh Parvizi received her PhD in fiber-optic optoelectronics at the University of Malaya, Malaysia, in 2012. She is currently a Research Assistant in the Microelectronics Lab at James Watt School of Engineering, the University of Glasgow. Before that, she worked as a faculty member of Yasouj University, Iran. During her career, she has established an advanced nano-photonic research laboratory, emphasizing fiber‐optic sensing using optical concepts of Surface Plasmon Resonance and Lossy mode resonance effects, as well as nano-based structures. Her research interests include photovoltaic energy harvesting, optical fiber amplifiers, and optical sensors. She received several awards, including the final award-winner of the National Third Young Scientist Festival (2019) for proposing the best idea in basic sciences. She is (co‐)author of more than 52 articles and publications in top-tier journals
