Sakthi completed his bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology at Ropar in 2018. As a part of his bachelor thesis, he worked on novel switching methods for SAR ADCs. He joined the University of Utah in the fall of 2018 and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. with a focus on analog and mixed-signal IC design. His primary research interests lie in the design of low-power circuits and systems for biomedical applications and the design of bio-inspired systems. He has also worked in the design of high-speed circuits for serial communication. In the long term, He wants to focus on designing systems for solving problems in specific impact areas of healthcare, agriculture, and climate change. He was an intern with the signal integrity pathfinding team at Micron, Boise, in the summer of 2019, where he worked on advanced signaling techniques for high-speed data transfer. He was also a research intern at the BHEL R&D, Hyderabad, where he worked on FPGA implementations of neural networks during the summer of 2017. Sakthi was a recipient of the KVPY scholarship for 2014, awarded by the Indian Institute of Science. He spends his leisure time on travel, podcasts, movies, and books.
