Kasun Pathirage received the B.Sc. Engineering (Hons) degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Currently, he is a 2nd year Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. His research interests include bio-electronics, lab-on-a-chip research, cell-based sensing, and synaptic plasticity and neural learning research. He received the A. James Clark School of Engineering Distinguished Graduate Fellowship in 2020, and received the gold medal for the best academic performance in the Biomedical Engineering stream at the University of Moratuwa in 2019.
