    Prior to earning his Ph.D. Dr. Clark was with Intel Corporation as a test engineer and VLSI Technology Inc., performing PC chipset design. After earning his PhD in 1992, he joined Intel Corporation, where he contributed to the Pentium, Itanium, and XScale microprocessor designs, compact modeling, and CMOS imager projects. Most recently, he was a Principal Engineer and Circuit Design Manager on the XScale efforts for which he received an Intel Achievement Award.

    He joined Arizona State University in 2004 as an Associate Professor, and held the rank of Professor from 2009 until August 2017. He is now an Emeritus Professor there. From 2009 to 2014, he was also with SuVolta Inc. as Chief Architect. Dr. Clark has authored/co-authored over 145 refereed technical papers, ten book chapters, and has been awarded over 130 patents. He is a primary creator of the ASAP7 predictive PDK and the soon to release 5-nm ASAP5 version. He now primarily consults.
