Bio
Patrícia Martins is a Ph.D. student of electrical engineering at the University of Aveiro (UA) in Aveiro, Portugal. She works as a researcher on the NeuroStimSpinal Project, which aims to find a novel spinal cord injury treatment. Her role within the project encompasses designing the interfacing electronics for stimulating the regeneration of the spinal cord and electrically characterizing biomaterials. Her research interests are biotechnology, biomaterials, and triboelectric energy harvesting. In 2020 she graduated from UA with a Master's Degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. Her thesis is titled, "electrochemical biosensor instrumentalization using cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy".
