In this paper, synchronization of two simple chaotic oscillators with experimental verification is presented. Each chaotic oscillator is the combination of two simple transistors, resistors and capacitors. At the transmitting end, an input signal is masked in the chaotic signal of the master oscillator using a summing circuit and sent through the wired communication channel. At the receiving end, the chaotic signal of the slave oscillator is subtracted from the received masked signal using a subtracting circuit to achieve original input signal. A sinusoidal signal and a sound track are masked to investigate the performance of the proposed system. The experimental results show that synchronization between two chaotic oscillators is achievable. This is essential for building a secure communication system based on chaos for many applications.
