    Abstract

    This paper presents the first silicon proof-of-concept of an operational clockless wave-propagated pipeline (CWPP) block fabricated in a modern technology. The test circuit demonstrates a CWPP-based dot-product accelerator operating at 1 GHz in a 65nm technology, resulting in a throughput of 8G MAC/sec with as much as 50% power savings as compared to a reference sequential design.
