Non-Foster (NF) circuits are becoming increasingly popular in filters and matching networks as they allow the cancellation of reactance and thus enable wideband matching. With many kinds of NF circuits available in the literature, this paper aims to categorize and provide an in-depth discussion of each variation of these circuits upon their implementation, advantages and challenges.
