    Abstract

A magnetoelectric transducer has been electrically characterized and combined with a power management circuit as an energy source for the portable device in POCT. The amplitude of the AC current of the magnetic field emitter and the dimension of the transmitter has been demonstrated as critical parameter for efficient power transfer. A power management circuit composed of a rectifier, a DC-DC converter and a supercapacitor has been successfully demonstrated. This circuit increases the output voltage, thus making it possible to power various electronic devices with the transmitted energy.
