In this paper, low cost heterogeneous S-box for block cipher ARIA is proposed. Hardware cost is reduced with optimization of composite field coefficients, which is used for hetero S-box group construction. Also, isomorphism matrix sharing between S-boxes in same group is applied. Proposed work has showed 39% of area reduction and 30% of power reduction compared to conventional hetero S-box scheme. Proposed work has also passed CPA and TVLA test, verifying that proposed low cost hetero S-box hardware is resistant for power analysis-based attacks.
