    Abstract

In this demonstration, we present ACTEV for real-time trace extraction from calcium images captured by the Miniscope. The ACTEV consists of an FPGA accelerator, an interface PCB and a GUI for the user interaction. The FPGA accelerator takes the 512x512 calcium image as input, executes motion correction, image enhancement and trace extraction for 1024 cells with <1ms latency. The interface PCB transfers the data to the host over the Ethernet. The GUI displays the images and traces simultaneously. The user can interact with the GUI and observe the motion corrected images and extracted traces for individual cells in real time.
