    Abstract

n this paper, we present a baseband architectureconsisting a complex IQ band pass filter followed by a 3-stageVariable Gain Amplifier (VGA) designed for multi-standardnavigation receivers. The filter and VGA together providea programmable gain from 26 dB to 69 dB over a tunablebandwidth of 2-4 MHz with less than 1 dB in-band attenuation.A new DC offset correction circuit is proposed for high gainVGA to cancel its own DC offset as well as that of the previousstage. The filter provides image rejection ratio (IMRR) of 28dB. The presented baseband circuits are incorporated intoa multi-standard navigation receiver fabricated in 65 nmCMOS technology. Occupying 0.39 mm2on-chip area, the filterand VGA draw a maximum current of 7 mA from a 1.2 V supply
