Abstract
Google's PageRank offers an elegant foundation to motivate and teach an impressive array of concepts at the backbone of linear dynamic systems. A sample curriculum begins with systems of linear equations. It then proceeds to eigenvalues and eigenvectors---needed to study the modes of dynamic systems, including oscillations and limiting-state behaviors. And it can extend as far as esoteric topics in graduate-level numerical matrix analysis. The magic of PageRank is that it allows the creative license of an instructor, or the flexibility and boldness of a curriculum oversight committee, to bring to life connections among seemingly disparate topics in a myriad of applications.
