Abstract
Fractional-order complementary filter topologies, which could be employed in various sensor applications, are presented in this paper. The core of the implementation is a fractional-order low-pass filter, while its complementary counterpart is derived through the substitution of the output of the low-pass filter with the input signal. Thanks to the utilization of current-mode signal processing, the summation operation needed for establishing the output of the complete filter is easily implemented.
