Abstract
In this paper, a new dental Doppler ultrasound system (DDUS) is proposed to measure pulp blood flow (PBF). The system consists of the followings: - A dual elements transducer (NDK 22MHz) : suitable size and specification for a tooth shape. - A probe system (Analog front-end) : programmable, portable system for measuring PBF. - A mid/back-end processing algorithm : SVD filter to reduce noise and clutter. - A graphical user interface (GUI) : display the Doppler spectrum and spectrogram based on C++. The performance of the system is evaluated by a string phantom.
