    Abstract

    This paper presents an EPR system that can wirelessly transmit CW EPR data over distances up to 30 cm. The proposed system comprises a VCO-based EPR-on-a-chip (EPRoC) sensor with a spin sensitivity of 2e-12 spins/sqrt(Hz), a 14-bit ΣΔ-modulator, a 7 GHz bandwidth-tunable UWB transmitter chip, and a 2 GHz-bandwidth elliptical dipole antenna. We receive and digitize the antenna signal and recover the EPR signal via a DFT-based demodulation scheme. The presented platform is the first wirelessly connected EPR detection system allowing for in-situ EPR experiments. The estimated BER of the link at a transmitting distance of 10 cm is 1e-7.
