    Abstract

A chopper-stabilized switched-capacitor front-end for peripheral nervous system (PNS) recording is presented. Using closed-loop windowed integration, the input signal is sampled directly and amplified with negligible noise aliasing and high accuracy and linearity. By aligning the chopping and integration frequencies, the chopping ripples are attenuated by a sinc function. Correlated-level-shifting is incorporated in the switched-capacitor filter to improve the overall power efficiency. The circuit in 180 nm CMOS occupies 0.136 mm2 and draws 16.1 µA from1.8 V. The -3 dB bandwidth is from 170 Hz - 9.68 kHz, and the mid-band gain is 58.1 dB. The input-referred noise is 2.21 µVrms, and the noise efficiency factor is 3.5.
