Abstract
A programmable radio architecture for 5G multi-band vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication chipset will be presented, which utilizes a programmable Time-Interleaved (TI) Analog to Digital Converter (ADC), and enables multi-band operation for maximum hardware share, minimum chip area, and low power consumption. Both V2X and V2N (Vehicle-to-Network), which operate in two different frequencies and two different bandwidths, can be supported by this architecture. The eight-channel TI-ADC is designed using the Synopsys Custom Design Platform in GF 22nm FDSOI, which can support 800MS/s and 200MS/s to cover the requirements of V2N and V2X, respectively.
