    Abstract

Our methodology for isolated voltage and shunt resistor current sensing using single amplifier is based on an integrated Hall sensor. Derived by an amplifier, a series of on chip stacked spiral coils generate magnetic field on top of silicon-based Hall effect sensor. The sensed magnetic field produces a voltage which get amplified and filtered using programmable gain amplifier and programmable filter, respectively. While having minimum isolation level of 430V, this design lead to CMRR of 180 dB over 80kHz of frequency. Also, the programmability allows both shunt resistor current sensing and differential voltage sensing of ±2.5.
