    Abstract

A simplified model is described for a peak current-mode control boost converter. The proposed model is implemented by averaging the operating point of the converter such that closed-loop stability can be analyzed. This model behavior is verified in simulation by implementing a 3.9~V input to 5~V output peak current-mode control boost converter with 240~mA load current. The simulations showed a good matching of ac response and load step response, and a detailed analysis of the model is presented.
