Abstract
This paper presents an on-chip voltage mode control (VMC) circuit regulating the converter output voltage to tolerate input voltage and load current disturbances for a closed-loop converter system. The proposed VMC topology is implemented in a zero voltage switching (ZVS) pulse width modulation (PWM) phase-shifted full-bridge (PSFB) dc-dc bus converter with e-mode power transistors. The VMC block regulates the output voltage by tuning the phase relationship of the gate driving signals for the converter. The feedback circuit and other modules were implemented in a 1um 650V Trench Isolated BCD technology, demonstrating the full functionality of all the blocks.
