Abstract
This paper investigates the impact that stochastically selecting responses from PUFs has on its security with respect to modeling complexity and brute-force attacks. The proposed design is completely novel in that both probabilistic and stochastic elements are introduced to improve the security of PUFs in the place of more mature operations such as XOR. The results indicate that this proposed alternative is significantly more secure than XOR PUFs of 3 times its size.
